The ski season may be drawing to a close, but the snow is not ready to stop falling! The spring conditions across some of our European resorts have been magnificent and it is set to be a magical end to the 2023/24 ski season. If you fancy a last-minute, late-season ski trip, now is the time! Here is your snow update for April 2024.
Snowy Switzerland
Ski resorts in Switzerland have seen fantastic snowfall in the last few days. Andermatt has had 26cm of fresh snow in the valley, with more forecasted in the coming week. The top ski depth sits at an impressive 305cm with bluebird conditions keeping skiers happy throughout the resort. Over in Gstaad, there is 20cm of snow with a further 9cm due to fall next week. Saas Fee is packed with powder, having seen 59cm of snowfall last week and more set to arrive next week.

Freezing France
France is most definitely feeling the late-season freeze! Alpe d’Huez has seen an impressive 35cm of fresh snow in the last week, creating marvellous conditions for those enjoying spring skiing. What’s better? There is an impressive 24cm of snow due to land in the next week. The conditions are similar in Les Deux Alpes. Lots of fresh powder, both present and forecasted, with bluebird conditions blessing the slopes for most of the days.

Idyllic Italy
In Italy, the temperature may be icy, but the weather is snowy. La Thuile is experiencing some significant snow both at upper and lower levels. At the heights, there is 210cm of snow, compared to 160cm at lower levels. The conditions are set to remain steady as we head towards the end of the season. Over in the Dolomites, Cortina has had 5cm of fresh snow in the last couple of days, taking the upper snow depth to more than 150cm and the lower to 35cm. The conditions are perfect for enjoying some lovely spring skiing.

On To Austria
In Austria, ski resorts such as Sölden have seen some recent snowfall, creating great ski conditions for skiers on their late-season break. There is even set to be a further 23cm of snow to fall within the next week. Over in St. Anton, there has been as much as 11cm of fresh snowfall in recent days, creating the most perfect powder across the resort. The weather is mostly sunny, making the resort a dream for getting a good ski tan before the end of the season.
