St. Anton’s après ski scene is well known as one of the best in Europe. With foot-stomping live music that has the post-ski crowds dancing into the night, St Anton is great fun. Whether you are looking to party at the MooserWirt, or enjoy a cosy drink in a traditional mountain hut with blissful views of the sun, St. Anton in the Arlberg ski area has it all. Here are some of our favourite St Anton après ski and nightlife, both on and off the mountain.
Krazy Kanguruh
Open from mid-morning onwards, this legendary St. Anton après ski bar is known for its live music, table dancing, hearty portions of traditional Austrian fare and its large sun terrace. Guests are encouraged to refrain from over-indulging at the bar, though, as they are faced with a short ski down red run number 21 to get back to the main town. This bar also holds a range of themed events, making it a great choice over the festive period.

MooserWirt
One of our favourite St Anton après ski bars, MooserWirt has been an institution in the resort since 1989. Legend states that it has the highest beer sales in all of Austria; it sells an unbelievable 5,000 litres a day during peak season. Its bustling outdoor ice bar and live DJ keep tired skiers partying all afternoon. MooserWirt is also a great destination for a mid-afternoon snack, serving a range of delicious homemade soups to keep you going throughout the rest of the day.

Basecamp
Set at the bottom of the slopes, you can ski straight down here from Mooserwirt and Krazy Kanguruhs. Located opposite the Gampen chairlift, it’s usually one of the last stops of the day and a great place to meet non-skiers. Après ski starts from 3pm with live music, a resident DJ and a brilliant saxophone player who makes regular appearances.

Based in St Christoph, Hospiz Alm restaurant serves award-winning Tyrolean food, recognised with 15 points from Gault Millau in 2019.
