Trysil is an excellent destination for the ultimate Scandinavian adventure. The ski resort is the largest and oldest of all Norway ski holidays. Many Norwegians consider it one of their favourites, for a good reason. Trysil is home to one of the best lift systems in Europe, with virtually no queues. Perfect for making the most of your time on the slopes. The region welcomes excellent snow forecasts throughout the long season. Locals can start cruising the slopes from as early as November and as late as April!

The skiing in Trysil favours beginners and intermediates, with plenty of cruisy slopes to explore. The mountain has almost 360 degrees of linked skiing, meaning skiers can follow the sun as the day goes on. The slopes found lower down the mountain are wonderfully tree-lined, ideal for the lower visibility days. Up-high, skiers will find a variety of runs, from wide pistes to more challenging runs.

Trysil is known for its welcoming atmosphere, and the location is ideal for families and smaller groups. The après scene here is much quieter than its mainline European rivals and offers a more sophisticated atmosphere. Here is our top pick of the best après ski and nightlife in Trysil.
