Fortunately for keen skiers, Vaujany is a well-connected base for accessing the larger ski area of Alpe d’Huez. Explore the 250km of piste with ease and discover the varied slopes at your fingertips. Lesser-known ski resorts are ideal for great skiing opportunities. Roam the beautifully quiet slopes of Vaujany before heading to the vast pistes of the Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine and beyond.

Warth-Schröcken

For an excellent Austrian escape, visit Warth-Schröcken near Lech ski resort. The region has a fantastic snow record and impeccable skiing, ideal for ski fanatics. Warth-Schröcken is in close vicinity to Lech-Zürs, linked by just a few ski lifts. Carve your way around the Arlberg ski region in no time with the terrific direct access.

Off-piste skiers will have an absolute blast with the freeride opportunities in Warth-Schröcken. The snow record is one of the best in the region, boasting snow-sure conditions, pristine pistes, and plenty of powder. The pretty mountain villages of Warth and Schröcken receive on average more than 11m of snow on their upper slopes, making the area a great choice for advanced skiers. Beginners and intermediates will find confidence on the varied slopes, with more than 268km blue and red runs to explore collectively.

Nendaz

Nendaz is a pretty, picturesque ski resort in the heart of the Valais ski area. The ski area overlooks the Rhone Valley, offering beautiful views of the Alps and a fantastic sunshine record. Nendaz lies next to Verbier, in Switzerland and has great access to the ski resort. Visitors can gain access to expansive skiing and a luxurious après scene, without breaking the bank.

Families will love the friendly atmosphere of the town and the wide range of accommodation to choose from. Nendaz in fact has been awarded the ‘Families Welcome’ label by the Swiss Tourism Federation due to its fabulous amenities for younger travellers. The destination is a two-hour drive from Geneva, making it viable for families with restless little ones.

Leogang

For a traditional mountain getaway, visit Leogang in Austria. The ski resort sits at the base of the Pillersee Valley with convenient access to the stunning Saalbach-Hinterglemm ski area. Skiers will have more than 270km to explore and with the state-of-the-art lift systems in place, this can be discovered in a flash. The ski region has everything from beginner areas to cruisy blue slopes and challenging descents. Head to the glacier for remarkable views of the mountain peaks that surround the ski resort.

After exploring the pistes, find yourself in a winter wonderland. The centre of the resort is authentically Alpine, with beautiful rustic architecture.
