We’re three-quarters into the season and what a season it has been! As ski resorts ramp up for the earlier Easter holidays this year, it’s an excellent time for last-minute skiing.
A succession of consistent snowfall has been gracing ski resorts around the globe, making March 2024 a great time to get your ski fix. With the busy February Half Term over, we’re looking forward to sending families back to the mountains toot de suite. For those who are lucky enough to get out there sooner, here are the ski resorts that you should head to. Let’s march into spring!
Freezing Three Valleys
The Three Valleys has seen exceptional snowfall in the past week, with snow showers visiting the heights of Val Thorens, Méribel, and Courchevel. Val Thorens saw temperatures drop to -13 in the evenings and 23cm of snowfall just over the weekend. The top ski depth is at a healthy 220m and the conditions are set to be brilliant this week. In between snowfall, there is a scattering of bluebird days to keep skiers happy. A little lower, Méribel and Courchevel have received 13-14cm of fresh powder across the two ski resorts. The combination of fresh snow, quieter pistes, and sunny days will guarantee a terrific time in the Three Valleys this month.

Italy Has It All
Aosta Valley in Italy has seen huge snowfall over the past few days. Gressoney has seen a whopping 101cm fall since Saturday! The ski resort is set to receive more snow showers in the coming days, with heavy snow arriving on Friday. Nearby Cervinia has also received a huge powder dump of almost 50cm. Over on the west side of the Aosta Valley, Courmayeur ski resort has had almost 15cm of fresh snowfall over the past couple of days. A terrific turn of events for skiers fitting in a short break before the season comes to an end. For a quick ski fix, it seems like the Aosta Valley is the place to be.

A Lift for Lower Ski Resorts
The lower-altitude ski resorts in France are seeing increased snowfall. Serre Chevalier in particular saw a huge 36cm fall in the 1,350m-high town. Skiers visiting La Rosière this month will be pleased with the recent 20cm of snow that has arrived too. Firm favourites Les Gets and Morzine welcomed light snow showers last week, giving the region a much-needed lift as we head into the new month.
