I’m the Marketing Director at Ski Solutions, Cycling for Softies and BSpoke Tours – all part of the Active Travel Group. I’ve been with the company since 2013 and there really is nothing better than working in an industry you are passionate about with like-minded people. I first skied when I did my ski season at 23 years old. I had finished university and fancied doing something different, so decided to go and live in the Alps and try something new. I did my season in Morillon in the Grand Massif in France; it’s a traditional, Savoyard village, with some nice beginner slopes, so it was the perfect place for me to learn to ski. I remember there was a lovely, tree-lined green run called ‘Marvel’ that was my favourite. It’s 5km long and must have taken me about three hours to get down it the very first time but it was lots of fun!

Thankfully, I quite quickly progressed to the reds (and blacks!) and even managed to ski the Swiss Wall in the Portes du Soleil by the end of the season, which was a massive achievement. I fell in love with skiing during that season and was quick to go on my first ski holiday the next year to Morzine. Since then I have skied all over Europe and North America and I am very thankful to work in such a great industry.
Top Tip
Treat yourself to a hotel with a pool or a spa to rest those achy ski legs after a day on the slopes.
Favourite Resort
I love my food and wine, so I think Courmayeur in Italy has to be my favourite ski resort. There’s a great restaurant there called Chiecco which I highly recommend!
