Cervinia Ski Holidays

Cervinia is one of the highest ski resorts in the Alps, with a village height of 2,050m and a ski area (linked to Zermatt‘s) that rises up to 3,480m – or even 3,820m if you are returning from an excursion into Zermatt’s terrain. Thus it is virtually guaranteed to have snow from early December until late April, despite the fact that many of its slopes have a southerly exposition. In addition, snow-making helps ensure season-long snow-cover on the lower slopes.

This is a great place to learn to snowboard, with plenty of blue and red runs and good snow conditions. Snowboarders looking for more expert terrain to explore can take advantage of links over to Zermatt. Cervinia’s snowpark, known as ‘IndianPark’ is situated in the Plain Maison. The park has a freestyle area stretching over nine acres with rails, kickers, music and a Big Air, so it’s a great place to brush up on your freestyle.

Scuola di Sci del Cervino in Cervinia ski resort offers a ‘mini-club’ for children, incorporating skiing with sledging and afternoon fun in the snow. Other ski schools also offer private and group lessons for children and supervised lunches are available too. Cervinia ski resort has some great options. La Champagnerie Du Cervin at the Hotel Punta Maquignaz is the perfect spot for a relaxed evening with its enticing selection of Champagne, Italian wines and cocktails. For something more lively, Yeti Bar near the Cretaz chairlift has a happy hour and snowsports films playing on their big screen. Alternatively, Lino’s Bar serves delicious pizza accompanied by regular karaoke evenings.
