Trysil Ski Resort
Norway’s largest and oldest ski resort, Trysil is one of the country’s most popular resorts for good reason. The terrain is varied, with 66 runs in total providing something for all abilities: ranging from gentle greens to thrilling blacks. The resort is particularly welcoming to families, featuring excellent ski schools, dedicated children’s areas, and a wide variety of beginner and intermediate slopes.
With one of Europe’s best lift systems – some even with heated seats and barely a queue in sight – you’ll spend more time carving down the beautifully groomed slopes. Better yet, if you can’t get enough of the snow during the day Trysil offers evening skiing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. However, if you’re more of a morning person, the resort also offers early morning skiing every Wednesday and Saturday from 5th February until 19th April, so you can have the freshly groomed slopes to yourself for a few hours before everyone else gets up the mountains.
Trysil’s ski season is long, starting as early as the beginning of November and running all the way through to late April, and is full of beautifully dry snow. In fact, the resort is so confident of the snow quality that they guarantee your lift pass, so that if the conditions aren’t up to scratch, they will refund you in full!
With its combination of top-tier amenities, family-friendly atmosphere, and the natural beauty of the Scandinavian wilderness, Trysil is an exceptional choice for families and small groups looking for a memorable winter getaway.
