I took my first steps in Sansicario, an Italian ski resort in the Milky Way, and grew up in Zurich, so I pretty much started skiing as soon as I could stand up.
Some of my earliest memories of skiing are from group ski lessons on the weekends in Switzerland, race training with a lot of competitive Swiss children, and failing to keep up.
“I pretty much started skiing as soon as I could stand up”
As the years went on, I improved and we spent more time skiing in Italy and Austria; but since leaving Switzerland we have spent a lot more time skiing in France and Italy than anywhere else.
After university, I went straight into the ski industry. Firstly working for an online ski lesson broker then moved on and joined Ski Solutions. I have worked within both the marketing and client services teams, and I’m now thrilled to be in sales!
Top Tip
Never try to teach a significant other to ski or snowboard. For peace of mind, just hire an instructor. Better yet, organise a private instructor for the vastly superior experience of one-on-one tuition. You’ll appreciate the faster, more comprehensive, personalised learning.
Best Skiing Moment
Skiing in Mayrhofen in April of 2023 was an experience I’m unlikely to forget any time soon.
Though we went in late April, we were gifted with three white-out days out of five. Some aren’t a fan of these conditions due to the low visibility, but I love it!
The impressive Penkenbahn lift runs from the centre of town and spits you out into the vast Zillertal Arena, where there is a great mix of steep black runs and nice windy blue runs through pine forests.
