Ski Chalet Holidays
Find the ideal base for your next skiing holiday with our collection of chalets, perfectly suited for families, groups and couples.
Ski Chalets
Our skiing chalets are perfect for couples, groups or families who want to be catered for in luxury but don’t want the more formal setting of a hotel. Most catered chalet ski holidays are run by British tour operators and usually have a host who cooks the meals and keeps the property clean and tidy.
Our basic chalet ski holidays include meals on six nights, afternoon tea with cakes, wine with the evening meal and a hearty breakfast. However, if you’re looking for something even more luxurious, our ski experts can tailor-make your getaway to meet your specific desires. If you’re looking for luxury skiing chalets with a swimming pool, jacuzzi, ski-in ski-out location, or a private chef, we can help you.

Ski Chalet Holiday FAQs
Chalet board, otherwise known as a catered chalet, is the most popular type of ski holiday for British families and groups. Catered chalets tend to be a seven-day holiday, with chalet hosts preparing and serving meals during your stay.
Most chalet companies serve breakfast every morning of your stay, afternoon tea, and a three-course dinner (with wine), six nights a week. You can expect dinner the evening you arrive if it is at a reasonable time. If you arrive early, some chalet companies will have afternoon tea prepared.
The hosts usually have one evening off, allowing your group to spend a night exploring the town.
Skiing chalet staff tend to have a Wednesday off during a week’s stay. Ask the chalet hosts for their restaurant recommendations and ensure you book early. Many popular spots get booked up quickly, especially for larger groups.
No, you don’t. While some skiing chalets are only bookable in their entirety, many are available on a room-by-room basis. You will be in a shared catered ski chalet among other guests. It makes for a highly social experience, with the chance to meet like-minded people over dinner.
As soon as you’re ready to commit! Chalets are the most popular type of ski holiday accommodation and usually get booked up quickly. Chalets are harder to find in Italy or Switzerland, so we recommend getting in touch as soon as possible. Once you know your dates, the number of people you’re travelling with and what region you’d like to visit, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Ski chalets have differing star ratings. If you book a more luxury ski chalet, you can expect the facilities of a small hotel. Higher-starred properties will typically be closer to the slopes and can include a sauna, a steam room, a hot tub, a sophisticated catered menu, and a well-equipped boot room.
A chalet ski holiday tends to be the most popular because you get the cosiness of a homestay combined with the service of a small boutique hotel. It’s a great, hassle-free way to spend quality time with loved ones. Whether you choose catered or self-catered chalets, you’ll have complete privacy in your very own space.
Not all chalets can be ski-in ski-out, as some resorts are limited with this access. In these instances, catered ski chalet companies often offer a free shuttle service.
This is usually provided in the morning to get to the lifts and later in the day to return home for afternoon tea. Alternatively, a short walk and bus journey will have you on the slopes in no time. Sometimes, though, it’s just a case of walking into town to the gondola station!
