    Filzmoos ski resort is located in the Salzburger Sportwelt (Austria, Salzburg). The resort contains 8 lifts and 13km of piste, perfect for skiers and snowboarders alike. The resort is suitable for a variety of difficulty levels and there is plenty of room for children and beginners to practice. The more advanced skier can show off their skills on the fantastic Michaela Kirchgasser FIS race course. This resort is perfect for a group of family or friends who have a range of skiing experience as there is something for everyone.

    The abundance of charming mountain huts, excellent snow record, unique mountain panoramic views and slopes leading all the way down to the quaint village make the resort a popular choice. The winter sports area is situated between the altitudes of 1,060m and 1,630m and the Rossbrand high-elevation cross-country trail at 1,600m is a hidden gem for daring cross-country fans.

It is also a great location for families with younger children looking for something less daunting and busy than some of the larger resorts.     The demanding Hochleiten piste is a steep black run, perfect for ambitious freeriders looking for a challenge. Riding through the trees in Filzmoos is only recommended for highly experienced riders due to the nature of the slopes. In the beginner’s area, there are some boxes and rails, yet Filzmoos lacks any dedicated freestyle area, making it better suited to lovers of off-piste. There is the Flachauwinkl area nearby which provides a great getaway for those wanting to spend time in the park.
